Privacy Policy
How PC Advisor handles information and protects your privacy.
1. Overview
PC Advisor is an Android application that helps you explore computer hardware configurations based on information you provide during the consultation.
The consultation and recommendation process itself runs entirely on your device. PC Advisor does not transmit your consultation selections, saved recommendations, or questionnaire answers to PC Advisor servers or to third-party servers.
2. Information You Enter
During a consultation, you may select information such as:
- Device type and intended use;
- Workloads and software applications;
- Gaming preferences, where applicable;
- Budget range;
- Hardware priorities;
- Multitasking preferences; and
- Other choices required by the recommendation questionnaire.
These selections are used by the on-device recommendation engine to generate a PC configuration recommendation.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
PC Advisor uses local storage for application functionality. Saved recommendations can contain the recommendation itself together with the questionnaire requirements used to produce it. Application preferences, such as language and appearance settings, are also stored locally.
This information is stored using the app's local database and preferences storage. PC Advisor does not operate a cloud synchronization service for this information.
4. Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) and Mobile Ads (AdMob)
4.1 Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
PC Advisor may use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage privacy and consent choices where required by applicable law. UMP can present a consent message when applicable and provides a way for you to review or update your consent choices through a Privacy Options control, where made available in the application.
4.2 Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)
PC Advisor may include the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK as the technical foundation for optional advertising.
If advertising is enabled in a future version, Google may process certain information associated with advertising and measurement, depending on the configuration of the service and your applicable privacy and consent choices. This may include device-related information, identifiers, diagnostics, advertising interactions, and other information described in Google's applicable privacy documentation.
Advertising-related processing carried out by Google is governed by Google's own privacy policies and terms, in addition to this Privacy Policy. For more information about Google's privacy practices, please visit:
5. Consent and Privacy Choices
Where applicable, PC Advisor uses Google's UMP consent framework to determine whether consent information needs to be obtained or updated, based on your location and applicable requirements.
Depending on your location, you may be presented with a consent form. You may also access the application's Privacy Options feature, when made available by the UMP configuration, to review or change your consent choices.
Consent choices related to advertising and measurement technology are handled through Google's consent-management technology and are not replaced by a separate PC Advisor consent mechanism.
Even where applicable consent permits advertising, PC Advisor's advertising feature may remain disabled depending on the current version of the application.
6. Information We Do Not Collect Through the App
The core consultation and recommendation features of PC Advisor do not require an internet connection and do not send your questionnaire answers or saved recommendations anywhere.
PC Advisor does not provide account registration and does not request information such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, or advertising identifier as part of the PC recommendation workflow.
Where Google's UMP or Mobile Ads technology is included and/or enabled, those components may use network access and process limited technical information as described in Section 4, separately from your consultation data.
7. Sharing and Disclosure
PC Advisor does not transmit the information you enter into the app — including your questionnaire answers and saved recommendations — to PC Advisor servers or third-party services.
The application also does not currently provide retailer links, affiliate links, or other external sharing mechanisms for your consultation data.
Where Google's UMP or Mobile Ads technology is included, those components may independently communicate with Google as described in Section 4. PC Advisor does not share your consultation data with those components.
8. Android Device Backup
The application permits Android's system backup mechanisms. Whether locally stored application data is included in a backup can depend on Android, the device manufacturer, your Google Account or other backup provider, and your device settings.
PC Advisor does not control the operation of Android's system-level backup service. If you want to prevent or manage backups, use the backup and device settings provided by your Android system.
9. Data Deletion
Saved recommendations can be deleted using the deletion controls provided in PC Advisor. You can also discontinue use of the application or uninstall it from your device.
Depending on the deletion action used, this may include:
- Saved recommendations;
- Questionnaire selections associated with a saved recommendation;
- Application language and appearance preferences, where you choose to reset them.
Deletion from a device does not necessarily control copies that may already exist in an operating-system backup. Such copies are governed by your device and backup-provider settings.
10. Third-Party Software Names
PC Advisor may reference software products such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Blender to help match applications with hardware requirements. These names are used for identification and requirement-matching purposes only. PC Advisor is not claiming ownership of those third-party trademarks.
11. Third-Party Services and Policies
PC Advisor may integrate Google's:
- User Messaging Platform (UMP);
- Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK.
Advertising is not enabled in the current version of PC Advisor.
When applicable, Google may process information through these services according to Google's own policies, service configuration, and your applicable consent choices. Please review Google's privacy documentation for additional information about Google's processing practices.
12. Children's Privacy
PC Advisor is not designed specifically for children. The application is intended for users who can independently use its hardware-recommendation features.
PC Advisor does not knowingly operate an online account or service designed to collect personal information from children.
If you believe that personal information has been submitted in connection with PC Advisor in a manner that raises a privacy concern, please contact us using the information below.
13. Security
Because PC Advisor processes consultation information locally and does not provide a server-side account system, there is no PC Advisor cloud account containing your consultation history.
You are responsible for protecting access to your Android device and for reviewing the security and backup settings of your device and backup provider.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the application, its data practices, or applicable requirements change. The date shown at the top of this page indicates when this version was last updated.
15. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact the developer using the official contact information provided for PC Advisor.
