1. About the App
ExpenseTracker is a mobile application developed by AmineDev to help users log and track their daily personal expenses. We respect your privacy, collect minimal data, and give you full control over your information.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Local Data (Stored on Your Device Only)
All expense-related information you enter in the app — including amounts, categories, notes, and dates — is stored locally on your device. We do not store, transmit, or access this data on external servers. We do not have accounts, logins, or cloud sync of any kind.
2.2 Third-Party Services
ExpenseTracker uses the following third-party service:
- Google AdMob (Advertising)
- Used to display banner and interstitial ads within the app.
- Google may collect certain information such as:
- Device information and device identifiers
- Approximate location
- App interactions
- Diagnostic information
- Advertising ID (for ad personalization if consent is given)
- AdMob processes data according to Google's Privacy Policy and Google Play Services terms.
3. GDPR, UK GDPR, and Swiss Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Withdraw consent for personalized advertisements at any time
- Restrict or object to certain data processing
- File a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority
The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain consent where legally required. You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time via Settings → Privacy Options inside the app.

4. Data Deletion and Export
Since all expense data is stored locally on your device:
- Uninstalling the app permanently deletes your expense data
- You may delete individual expenses or categories at any time within the app
- You may manually export your data as a CSV file at any time via Settings → Export to CSV, which uses your device's standard share sheet (e.g., to email or save the file yourself)
- We do not retain any copy of your data on external servers
5. Notifications
ExpenseTracker includes an optional Daily Reminder feature that sends a local notification reminding you to log expenses. This feature is off by default. The notification permission is only requested if and when you enable this feature in Settings, and you may revoke it at any time through your device settings.
6. Children's Privacy
ExpenseTracker does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 years old (or the age of digital consent applicable in your region). If you believe such data was unintentionally collected, please contact us immediately.
7. Security
We apply standard security practices to protect your locally stored data. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
For ads, third-party services (such as Google AdMob) apply their own security controls.
8. Consent Management (AdMob & UMP)
For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, the app:
- Uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent collection
- Displays a consent form before showing ads where required
- Allows withdrawal or modification of consent at any time
- Serves non-personalized ads if consent is denied
